Elinor Cramer’s first poetry collection, “She Is a Pupa, Soft and White” was published in 2011. In this series of poems, Mrs. Bean lives on the floor below the narrator, her apartment stacked like a lower bunk. There’s Lee across the hall, a dischargee from the state school, Tim, co-op president and all around handyman, and his partner, Ralf. You’ll get to know a community of folks thrown together—unlikely shipmates.
