The launch party and reading to celebrate the release of Field Trips with Exceptional People by Andrew Bode-Lang will be Wednesday, December 7, 2016.  He will be appearing with Camille-Yvette Welsch, who is launching her new poetry chapbook, FULL, from Dancing Girl Press.

The Northwest Art Center's 2016-17 lecture series continues Monday, October 3, at 7:00 pm in Aleshire Theater with "Confronting Trouble: Finding Solace" presented by Merie Kirby.  Kirby, of Grand Forks, is the 2016 recipient of the ND Council on the Arts Individual Artist Fellowship in Literature.

The lecture is free and open to the public, and parking is unrestricted.  An informal reception will follow the program.  This project is supported in part by a grant from the North Dakota Council on the Arts, which receives funding from the state legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Join poets at the launch of A Little Book of Abundance: poems of thanksgiving throughout the year. Editor-in-chief Sarah Hayes will introduce the book. Readers include Margaret Hasse, organizer and anthologizer, and members of a group of poets who’ve been together for more than five years: Anne Curtin, Don Brunnquell, Sharon Hilberer, Joan Johnson, Barb Jones, Dorothy Schlesselman, and Ann Schroeder.
